_Dear MAA,
I recently got a staph infection on my hand and my Doctor prescribed Keflex AntiBX. Being a Crohn's patient I was concerned about it's effect on my stomach and digestive system. I phoned Murray Avenue Apothecary and was instructed to take a dose of probiotics with every dose of Keflex....( six months ago I took Antibiotics and the results were very harmful to my stomach and I didnt want to go thru that again). Amazing product!!  Hemorrhoids were inflamed, swollen, bleeding and I was miserable.  Used this topical cream on them.   Stung for a few seconds the first couple of days, but not “unbearable” (especially for the relief and fast results I obtained). I take a liquid health multivitamin, and other supplements as recommended by Susan Merenstein such as fish oil, B12, vitamin E, immunomax and Quercetin Bromelein when I feel like I am getting a sniffle.  The combination of supplements (and enough sleep/healthy diet/ sugar reduction) have kept me healthy and with energy to train- including training outside in the cold and wet during the winter.

What a difference a year has made! I just read the testimonial I sent about CJ last year and what memories it brings back. I owe you and everyone an update!
I am happy to report that CJ is fantastic! He is a "typical" almost 5 year old now. He is in a typical class room preschool without a TSA or any assistance whatsoever. We actually got kicked out of services because he no longer qualified. What a great thing to get kicked out of!
At the beginning of this school year we had a few behavior problems. He was not listening well to the teacher and was pretty far behind in his fine motor skills. We just had a meeting with his teacher and she said he has done a 180 since the beginning of the year. He is one of the most social kids in the class. As you know, autism is many things but is most easily recognized by social delays. These kids miss social cues and therefore don't make friends very easily or relate to them well. That is not a problem for us any longer. He is the life of the party! When we walk into school the kids run to him to great him and he happily engages in conversation and games. The same is true with children he meets for the first time on the playground. This would have never happened a year ago. He wouldn't even look you in the eye when we started this journey.
He also has given up all of his rituals which included a 51 step bedtime routine. We have so much freedom now.
We also had many sensory integration issues with CJ: bright lights, scratchy clothes, certain sounds, any loud sounds, crowded areas including even the mall or a playground were too much for him. Guess where we went this year? Monster Jams and Nuclear Cowboys! It was unbelievably loud and lights were flashing everywhere and there were huge crowds. He walked on his own like he owned the place. He did not hide, he did not have to be carried or taken out because he couldn't process it....he LOVED it!
I thank God every day that He connected us with you and your staff. It has been a long road (although not really when you think that autism "has no cure") with several tweeks in supplements but I feel confident in saying we are where we need to be.
I wish I could post the school pictures from last year versus this year. It is apparent that he is "present" in this year's. He is a happy, healthy child with a bright future and that is in no small part because of you and your staff.

I have good news--you weren't sure if the oxytocin would stay effective for more than 2 weeks, and I'm happy to report that after nearly a month, it's still working... and still at maximum fireworks strength I'm pretty sure! It absolutely helps you have a faster and more intense but completely natural-feeling orgasm. It's great to feel something start working not with the feeling of a drug or aid, but feeling like it's all you at your most responsive. Let me preface this that I am borderline "clean-freak".... I was raised by a mother and grandmother who were proud card carrying members of the clean freak organization. I have been married to a clean freak for nearly 3 decades.
Here is my story: a few weeks ago I went for a swim on a huge lake up north. It was a hot humid day, and my feet (wet from the lake )went quickly from my flip flops to my running shoes. I trudged from the lake to the beach to my car. While driving the two hour ride home, I began to smell a strong oder. I checked my pits, and even sniffed into my swim trunks.... Everything checked out... Fresh and clean as always. Then I slipped off my running shoes.... That was it... My shoes stunk.
The smell was so bad that I threw my nikes away. I could still smell the oder on my feet. I couldn't wait to get home and hop into a hot shower. I shaved, shampooed, and scrubbed. I stepped out of the shower and to my despair the oder was still there. This went on for days... I tried dr. Scholls foot spray deodarant and a huge assortment of powders. Nothing worked. I smelled clean and fresh as always,but, my feet stunk. I tried desenex and that did nothing. There was no visible rash or wound just horrible stinky feet! I wanted to tell you how much I like the OMG Face & Neck cream and new sunscreen. My skin takes a lot of abuse on a daily basis, I frequently spend hours in the sun and water, both fresh water and salt. Being 60 years old my skin does not have the elasticity of a youngster anymore. When I first opened the cream I tried it on the backs of my hands and saw an immediate change in the skin tone and feel. Small wrinkles disappeared and my skin felt really smooth. I hear you are going to Washington. I wanted to let you know that your testing and feedback started me on a path to my health. I had been struggling with Hypothyroid for at least 6 years prior, not knowing much about it.  You got me on the right path with the testing Lab Kit and your consult and 2 books to read. Prior to seeing you, my old doctor saw my neck bulge, but after blood work, using the old guidelines, determined I didn't have Hypothyroid and went on to say I might be depressed. He could not otherwise explain my exhaustion beside blame it on me being a mother. I knew it was not normal exhaustion. After having your feedback, I was able to return to Boston and find an excellent endocrinologists who started to treat me. He has Hypothyroid himself and has a book out. His experience is still way beyond most common doctors knowledge about hormones.   My endocrinologist treated me because I have all the symptoms, beside the blood results. I have had great results- I gained my energy back and my life. I feel the whole medical establishment knows little about treating hormones. With Hypothyroid, these drugs are not patentable anymore, so no one is studying what is happening to millions of women! I am amazed how many I know are treated for their thyroid, and many more are tired beyond belief and are NOT treated just because of blood results. They are NOT all depressed- which is all doctors respond with if the blood work is normal.  Mine did the same. My blood work is now also in normal range while ON medication. I recently started menopause treatment at age 48, and feel this is an added element that most doctors do not treat properly, much less combined with other hormone issues.  My kids are 9 and 12, so I had kids late (but naturally). That could have added to my hormone instability.  All I see is how much we need better education of doctors about this issue.  Education should not come only from sponsored drug companies. I wouldn't be surprised that some day we will have common knowledge how our chemical dependence in our food process are killing our hormones- us women show it in our health, as do the frogs in nature. Why are we the tested guinea pigs of all this? How can our government subsidize some foods, when the expense on the other side is our health and healthcare bills.  Thank you for starting me in the right direction.

Dear Susan,
I just had to tell you what is going on over here.  To refresh your memory, our 3 year old son C.J. was diagnosed with PDD NOS.  I received the package from your store on Wednesday, January 20th.  We started that day with the vitamins, etc.  I know you said we needed to see how things were in six months but there is already a drastic change in C.J.!  It's like he is "there" for the first time ever!  He is already answering open-ended questions when he was not before. He is starting to give up some of his rituals.  He is calmer and not angry all the time.  He is noticing people's emotions.
I know I want to see a change.  So maybe it's just me, right?  No, it's not.  We went to look at a new car on Saturday and the salesman commented on how well-behaved he was and how clearly he spoke.  We would have never attempted to take him on an outing like this before.  At the first of the school year he was understood about 47% of the time.  According to the sheet we got from his speech therapist on Thursday, she understood him 100%.  The people at church today asked what we did to him because he seemed "brighter."  His developmental therapist who was here on Friday told me she didn't know what else to work on.  She said it was like a switch flipped.  I had not told her of the change in his treatment by then.  I did after, of course!
Today when I gave him the supplements, etc. he said, "This makes me feel better."  What a great sentence!  What a great truth!
I purchased and am currently reading the book you suggested, Children with Starving Brains.  What an eye opener!  I am not saying we have arrived but I never imagined we could get this far this quickly.  I can hardly wait to see what's to come with prolonged use and other interventions we will try.

I have struggled for 16 years with thyroid disease.  I had a tumor which had to be removed which left me without a left side thyroid and my right side has Hashimotos disease.  After being on synthroid for this amount of years, I have never been relieved of "EXHAUSTION". I am an extremely allergic individual and often require specialty compounded medicines in order to avoid allergens. In the case of my hormonal creams, I require a very low dose of estrogen, because of my extreme estrogen sensitivity (due to DES exposure in utero). The more typical estrogen creams make my breast become inflamed. Also, due to skin sensitivity I often need a special base used to make the cream. In the past, when I needed thyroid medication, I had to have it specially compounded out of beef-derived materials (rather than pork which was the standard product) including beef derived gelatin capsule.

Dessicated Thyroid has been compounded and administered at 32.4 mg for 60 days and 48.6 mg for 30 days from which debilitating mid and lower back pain(of 22 years) as well as severe muscle tension(that tremendously restricted  ability for physical exercise) has ceased. Sensitivity to odors and swelling of extremities has decreased greatly.  Hair loss has tapered off and additional  hair growth is seen above the ears and two temples over last two weeks. I anxiously await improvement in areas such as extreme food sensitivities, dry skin, hair and nails, very severe constipation, ringing in the ears at night and seasonal allergies and asthmatic tendencies.  Conventional doctors and synthetic thyroid (or treating cholesterol instead of thyroid) are not solutions, and dessicated thyroid is clearly a working solution for hypothyroidism.  Thank you for your time and I can;t say enough for compounding pharmacies

I have been using compounded minoxidil 12.5% with retinoic acid, which I obtain from your pharmacy, for over a year and a half. I use this in combination with Propecia, and laser light treatment a few times a week with the LaserComb.
I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the results. I had a series of hair transplants during the period from 1994-1999, with almost 2,000 grafts, plus a scalp reduction at the crown.  You may know that,
while transplanted hair does grow, it is almost always much thinner than when it was growing in the original spot. I was never really quite happy with the final results of my multiple hair transplant surgeries, since
the transplanted hair was very thin looking, lifeless, dull, flat, and prone to fly up with the smallest breeze.
I started using the compounded minoxidil, the Propecia, and the laser comb at about the same time in the first half of 2004. Since I have been on this regimen, my hair has been transformed dramatically, becoming

about my hair. And as you may know, for men, losing our hair is a very traumatic experience.

I just wanted to write and let you know that the dutasteride topical you made for me was extremely effective.  I wanted to drag it out so I applied it once per day with minoxidil for the other application (I had been using minoxidil twice per day).  Within the 60 days, I have regrown an astounding
amount of hair, I kid you not.  My temples are substantially fuller and what was once a bit of a bald spot is no more.  I am sending you some pics so you can see what I mean.  My hair is longer in the second pic, but not long enough to make the difference in these pictures.
Just wanted you to know that your efforts were worth it.  I have learned of a few people who are mixing one capsule per day with 30 ml of aloe and using it with good results.  I'll give that a try to see if I can keep what your mixture has given me and perhaps grow more.

In July, 2008 I had an appointment with my gynecologist to address the problems of irregular and lengthy periods, I had an endometrial biopsy 2 times and a sonogram.  I was given Megace and a RX for birth control pills (which I had never taken in my life) to control my cycle. I began a period in October and was still bleeding in November- nearly 6 weeks straight.

I was on synthetic hormones for a number of years including the estradiol vaginal tablets.  While using these tabs I was having alot of abdominal pressure and was having urinary tract infections every few months.  After searching the internet I discovered a compound product Estriol  After reading about how this could benefit my body with no side effects I searched for someone in our area that did compounding, That is when I found Susan Merenstein.  I found I could get this ONLY  by prescription which my gynecologist would not give me.  My P.C.P agreed for me to try it and I am so thankful I did.  I have been using the cream for almost 2 years.  My hot flashes were gone in two weeks and my abdominal pain went away. I haven't had any urinary problems and I feel so much better.  My gynecologist knows I'm using this product and he says I'm doing great.

I also want to add that after my success with compounding my husband decided to try testosterone therapy.  It has relieved him from many symptoms middle age men experience: mood changes, lack of energy and decreased libido.

I have been taking the bio-identical hormones (Progesterone and DHEA) for approximately 2 years.  It definitely has made a difference for me.
I noticed a difference within 2 weeks of using the DHEA especially being 52 and working in a detailed field (stock market) I need to be sharp at all times.  I have found an increased ability to think more clearly and quickly.  I tried once to stop(save money) but within a week or so, noticed a regression.  I immediately went back on it.
Even my OB/GYN who isn't big on bio-identical, had nothing to say bad about the DHEA.

Within 9 days  of beginning estriol and 2-3 weeks of progesterone and DHEA I was able to enjoy sexual intimacy after seven years of no ability in that area.  3 weeks later my ability to enjoy sex jumped to what i had experienced in my 30's and 40's.  In addition, my hot flashes, which had been up to 30 a day, and which ruled my life to a certain degree, have almost totally disappeared.
